I was experimenting one day. I was thinking that it would be yummy if i made a cupcake with a strawberry in the center, and topped with strawberry & vanilla frosting. What I did was: I baked cupcakes according to recipe (you can use any recipe).
Pre-slice strawberries. Right after the cupcakes came out of the oven, I pushed a slice of strawberry in the center. Allow the cupcakes to cool. Next comes the frosting!
Prepare vanilla frosting. I sliced up strawberries and blended it with the vanilla frosting, then placed the frosting into a decorating bag, and covered the tops. They arent the prettiest cupcakes, but it is a work in progress! Try it out!
