homemade cupcakes

I wanted to make some cupcakes for my friend's bridal shower while I was in PA this weekend, and I wanted to use a recipe I never tried before. So here is the story. It went well. I wish the cupcakes had been a bit more moist, but they still tasted good! It is not hard to make homemade cupcakes, just a little bit longer than the cupcake mix in the box!

I got to use my sister's Kitchen Aid mixer. It was a great mixer, although it made some funny mechanical burning smell while mixing......probably not good....

I found it easier and less messy to put cupcake batter in a pourable cup. Great, Easy, and less messy!

Try to make all the cupcakes even....I'm not Bakerella, but I try!

I cut off all the top of the cupcakes for a later prepartation of putting icing and fondant on it!

Cinnamon Buttercream Icing. SOOOOOO good!
