My Aunt Carol forwarded me this recipe, and it sounds fantastic!
CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE
Ingredients:
- 1 package (4oz.) Baker's German chocolate
- 3 Tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 3 eggs (lightly beaten)
- 1 cup pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 pie shell
- Melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring constantly until melted.
- In another pot, bring sugar and corn syrup to boil over high heat until sugar is dissolved. BE CAREFUL
- not to burn it! Reduce heat and boil gently for 2 minutes.
- Stir chocolate mixture into sugar syrup.
- Slowly pour the filling mixture over the eggs, stirring until blended.
- Mix in vanilla and nuts.
- Pour mixture into prepared pie shell (read package directions).
- Bake at 375 for 45-50 minutes until puffy.
